An Oregon employment contract agreement  is a document drafted by an employer at the start of a working relationship to establish the policies and conditions by which an employee will operate. The contract should detail the individual’s role within the organization and the duties they are obligated to fulfill. In the best interest of the employer, they may wish to set forth a non-disclosure clause prohibiting the employee from distributing vital company information to business competitors, or a non-compete clause preventing the individual from working for similar businesses in the industry. Setting forth such provisions grants the employer advantages in the event of legal claims filed against by the employee.
