A Delaware minor child power of attorney form allows a parent to transfer their child’s day-to-day care to someone else. The agent given this duty is usually a family member or close friend. Once signed, the agent authorized to care for the child will have temporary guardianship. Although this is not official guardianship, that must be petitioned for ( Delaware guardianship forms ) the parent’s local family county court .
